Feel better soon

Do you ever have an idea in your head for a card and you know it will look soooooo cool?  I did and it didn't come out at all.  So today I have a card that I am not happy with.  The idea was right, the execution was all wrong.  Shouldn't have used the pinking shears on the edges.  Wrong color mix.  Picked the wrong image to "shade" the dog.  Even my subtle flower stamp over the sentiment is just wrong for the rest of the images.

Well, that is how we learn!  I at least recognize what I did wrong so that card didn't work.  I'll just toss it in a storage box.  Some day, maybe this rather pathetic try will be all the rage.  I doubt it but I still won't throw it away... it has too much PTI on it! Ha!

If nothing else folks, don't be discouraged by a card that doesn't work.  Figure out why and learn from it.

I love it when bloggers post things that don't work out. Good on you Patty! And you know what? The fact that you recognize that it wasn't how you envisioned is saying a lot. It means you have good taste! I have to say though, that I DO like the pinked edges. If you re-do it I think they should stay...

I agree there are times that my cards don't turn out the way I had envisioned them. Sometimes they are better but most of the time they just don't work at all. I love you colors in this one and your layout!

OMG this happens to me ALL the time!! I end up taking off the parts that I like to maybe put on another card.

Oh and more importantly I do like the 3 flowers stamped and matted with the matching color.... that is a great idea on how to use that set with a feel of the Take 3 sets~!! I will have to try that because Life is one of my favs!!!

This just happened to me too. I ended up not finishing the original idea and went a different direction. I like the pinking. The only thing that is off to me is the dog under the flower. Was it meant to be that way?

I like the 3 flowers too, and kudos to you for sharing it and letting us know your thought process Patty! I have bloopers all the time. They usually just end up in the trash bin, or I take them apart and salvage the reusable scraps :)
